I am a mama to a busy 3.5 year old toddler and zookeeper to a bunny, fish and 2 puppies (1 and 2.5 years old).
Why The Lil Sandbox?
When you are constantly telling your toddler to stop putting things in her mouth and pulling toys and trash out of puppy mouths, sometimes it's better to just come up with a play activity that I can finally sit back and relax and not have to worry about keeping track of who has what in their mouth.
We loved kinetic sand but since it has silicone in it, it was NOT for our household given the amount of stuff that is ingested on a daily basis. Kinetic sand is very harmful if ingested and so I wanted to find a different option that I didn't have to worry about as much and would provide the same level of sensory play to my daughter, yet not have to worry about my 1 year old and 2.5 year old puppy eating!
